Associate Director – Association Management & Consulting

Purpose of the Role
The Associate Director leads the strategic positioning, visibility, and stakeholder engagement of our industry association clients. The Associate Director acts as a strategic integrator across workstreams, breaking silos and enabling cross-functional collaboration with association leaders and all the stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring that all communications – internal and external – are aligned with the associations’ mission, technical roadmap, and policy agenda.
Reporting to the company’s top management, as an Associate Director, you will also be part of a team responsible for the quality delivery, growth and expansion of products and services within the assigned client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Governance, Regulatory Affairs & Association Management
- Manage project team to deliver 360° association management strategies for clients by designing and leading on all project timelines based on priorities, resource availability, and other project requirements (i.e., budget).
- Advising clients’ leadership on industry association strategic aspects, and translating them into high level messaging and communication plans leveraging sectoral knowledge, horizontal skills, association management and communication know-how.
- Co-develop member engagement and expansion strategies including e.g. design and execution of internal communication assets, community-building formats, tailored messaging and digital assets.
- Supervise the implementation of industry associations’ roadmap with the team and client and promotion of content and deliverables to internal and external audience (industry ecosystem, policymakers) through targeted communication campaigns (events, social media, collaterals, etc.)
- Support advocacy goals and messaging in close coordination with the policy team for the development of position papers and outreach to policymakers, via stakeholder campaigns, communication actions and media relations.
Events & Meetings
- Lead branding and communications, for industry associations at events, tradeshows and showcases including team implementation of content strategy, speaker management and press outreach.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints—pre, during, and post-event.
Communication & Media relations
- Oversee the development of strategy and content for communication assets (e.g. maintain and evolve website, slide decks, infographics, and video assets)
- Develop media & social media strategy across prioritized platforms and supervise team implementation
- Co-develop joint campaigns and visibility strategies with external partners including strategic alignment and messaging consistency.
Successful candidate

- Fluent written and spoken English (native speaker or equivalent); command of another European language is a must.
- Presence in Brussels office, eligible to work in the EU
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in managing complex associations, in relation to the following policy areas: mobility, digital/telecom, sustainability and energy.
